Most people start building their network marketing business the same way. Their sponsor tells them all the ?old school? methods because that is what they were told.

Little do they realize those methods more closely resemble door-to-door sales or telemarketing than proper and effective marketing. They also don?t know it but none of the top earners of today use those methods.

There are some people who are very successful with those ?old school? methods and they get up there and tell everyone they use them but what they do not tell you is they have been in network marketing a long time and they have built up a network already of people who know, like, and trust them.

Using those ?old school? methods causes you to try to sign up people that you know the best to start with and one major problem with that besides the fact that they did not go looking for your product,service or opportunity is they know you are just starting out and cannot prove that it will be successful.

They may like you but how do they know you are any good with running an MLM business? What are you going to do for leads when you have exhausted your friends and family?

Believe me, you will exhaust them. There will be two ways you exhaust them. They will be exhausted from hearing about your opportunity and your list of personal contacts will run out.

Where will you turn for prospects then? The mall? The street corner? The Internet? If you turn to the mall or the street corner you are now no better than a street corner watch salesman.

Do you really think the top earners in MLM or network marketing use that for sales? If you turn to the Internet you will probably find a couple of options that most people use.

They either buy a list of leads to call off a site that sells them or they go to a social site and start telling every connection they make what a great opportunity they have.

Those lists can be pretty expensive though and when they are used up so is your money. If you were selling a list of leads online would you sell each name only once and would you tell buyers the names had been sold numerous times?

On the social sites, do you think those people who are doing the same thing with their business links are going to drop their company and sign up with yours the first time they see your link?

Is this how the top earners are building their business online? Just go to Facebook and try it. There are millions of people doing it but does that mean it will work?

The only way to be successful in MLM, network marketing, or any other Home Based Business is the same way traditional businesses do business.

First you learn how to do the business and if it is a marketing business that means marketing training. What if you wanted to become a doctor? Do you think anyone would let you do surgery on their brain with no training?

Network marketing is not brain surgery but it is a business and to have a reasonable chance of succeeding you will need some training. You would learn how to cook first if you wanted to open a restaurant, wouldn?t you?

Well how in the world would anyone be able to build a successful Multi-level-MARKETING business, Network MARKETING business, Direct Sales business or any other online MARKETING business without learning some proper marketing techniques?

Any business is easy when you know how. I once ran a residential framing company and even though I new very little about running a business I knew a lot about framing and so it was really easy.

I still had to learn how to run a business but the main purpose of the business was easy as pie. But it didn?t start out that way. It was hard before I knew how. Just like network marketing.

It is very difficult to see all of your friends avoiding you and relatives rejecting your opportunity. The same goes for working hard on the social sites and getting nowhere.

Just ask anyone who has ever tried to build an MLM and failed, believe me, there are quite a few out there. I am in MLM and I like being in MLM but when I go to social sites online and get beat over the head by strangers with their opportunity, it turns me off to their opportunity too so I know how my friends and relatives felt when I first started in my MLM business.

Now there is no way I would ever try to talk to anyone about my business before they showed an interest in what I have. That is because I now have learned how to market as a professional and it makes a huge difference in how you look at your business and in how you do business.

Anyone CAN do this business if they get some proper marketing training first. It is amazing how the right training will also eliminate all of the rejections that amateurs have to face.

If you want to learn how to build your network marketing business, there are no secrets and no shortcuts. Just get some training and start practicing some proper marketing techniques and it will become the same as it is for me and the top earners online, EASY!!
