The longest Zermatt ski trail is 11 miles or 17 kilometers.

? Stockhorn / Gornergrat
The west side of the Stockhorn / Gornergrat has smooth slopes perfect for families who are on a Zermatt ski holiday. The northern area however presents probably the biggest challenge for every extreme skier.
The slopes going to the Stockhorn is great for intermediate skiers. People can ski near the railway and many spots are crowded by commercial establishments like restaurants and ski schools and ski rental shops.
A freeriding slope in Stockhorn is one of the steepest and the longest bump slopes in Zermatt with a length of over 1,200 vertical meters.
The main area in Gornergrat can be reached from Zermatt via cog railway. It is about a 30 minute ride before you can reach the top of the mountain. From there you can ride different cable cars to take you to other ski parks and pistes.

? Klein Matterhorn
The Klein Matterhorn has the biggest ski area in Zermatt. With an altitude greater than 3,000 meters, some of the Klein Matterhorn?s ski pistes even reach the town center. The longest ride is about 10 miles from top to bottom.
The Klein Matterhorn is the home of the Matterhorn Glacier Paradise. The Matterhorn Glacier paradise is an international ski park and the largest ski area in Europe. For families, you must take your kids inside the Glacier Palace, the largest ice palace in the world.
Zermatt?s Gravity Park is also located in the Klein Matterhorn. This park is popular with snow boarders for it is equipped with ramps and obstacle courses ideal for snowboarding. This park is open 300 days a year.
A t the top of the Klein Matterhorn is a view deck that lets you see Zermatt and nearby villages with a 360-degree view.
Located just below the view deck is Schwarzsee, a ski park suited for tree skiing.

Zermatt Apres Ski
Zermatt is not only famous for its ski parks but it is also known for its Apres Ski activities as well. People who have a long day of skiing will be delighted to spend their nights hanging out in different bars and restaurants.
There are more than 100 restaurants and bars in and around Zermatt where you can find the excellent Swiss, Italian and French cuisine. There are even specialty restaurants serving up Thai, Japanese, Chinese, Mexican, American dishes.
