The Colorado employment support of the guard and reserve or E.S.G.R hosted a luncheon for all the local supporters. Some of the supporters included KKCO 11 News, Alpine Bank, the Grand Junction Police Department and Startek. The main focus was to recognize those who employee members of the guard and reserve. With the goal of getting more on board.
"The unemployment rate for veterans is above twenty-five percent, that's way too high and it shouldn't be that way especially if they are giving their lives and serve for their county" says Lou Brackett National Guard and Reserve.
Mayor pro tem Laura Luke was also on hand to proclaim today as employer support of the Guard and Reserve day in Grand Junction.
